Our Approach at FIC

Performing Arts has an important role to play in the social and emotional development of students. The personal skills and qualities developed such as teamwork, empathy, leadership and risk-taking are all invaluable and transferable skills which permeate home life, social life and importantly, work life.

In all areas of Performing Arts study, our key aim is to focus on the Three P’s; Preparation, Practice and Performance. Using this simple structure allows students to forge a lifelong skill set that will enhance both their academic and working life.  The Performing Arts promotes self-esteem and provides all students with a sense of achievement, regardless of academic ability. Here at FIC we endeavour to offer a range of opportunities for all students to experience these and to perform to audiences of parents, carers and friends of the College community.
