Mental Health & Well-being

At FIC, we prioritise the mental well-being of our students just as much as their academic performance. By promoting mental health awareness, we create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable discussing their emotional well-being and seeking help when necessary.
Our approach to mental well-being includes building a supportive community, encouraging open communication, providing mental health resources, offering stress management and coping strategies, and providing access to trained counsellors.
We also offer regular check-ins with house parents and tutors, peer support in the boarding house and classrooms, well-being workshops, and teach time management and organisation skills.
To combat the effects of stress, we encourage physical activity, engaging in hobbies and extracurricular activities, maintaining a balanced diet, plus getting adequate sleep and relaxation.
Promoting mental well-being in boarding school life is crucial for students to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. Our aim is to help students develop the emotional resilience needed to succeed in their academic journey.
