Physical Education

PE aims to ensure that all students develop competence in a broad range of physical activities, are physically active for sustained periods, engage in competitive sport, and lead healthy, active lives.

They develop a wide range of skills, use tactics and strategies to perform successfully, and learn to analyse and reflect on their own and others’ performances in order to improve them. Discovering their aptitudes and what they enjoy helps them make informed choices about lifelong physical activity.

PE also supports personal and social development. Working as individuals, in groups and in teams, students develop fairness and responsibility, take on roles such as leadership, coaching and officiating, and learn to be effective in competitive, creative and challenging situations.
